Frequently Asked Questions
Who are specialist training modules for?
These modules are designed for crews, organisations and activist groups who need training in specific real-world scenarios that go beyond standard RYA syllabuses.
Can we tailor the content to our campaign or operation?
Yes. We can work with you to design a programme that reflects your vessels, equipment, operating area and risk profile.
Do we need previous RYA qualifications?
Helms must hold RYA Powerboat Level 2 (or equivalent) as a minimum. Competency of helms and crew will determine what modules can be covered.
Where does the training take place?
We can run training from our base in Chatham, or – subject to a site assessment – from suitable external locations.
Do you provide equipment for the scenarios?
We can provide training boats and certain equipment. For campaign-specific kit, we will usually work with your own equipment so that drills reflect real-world conditions. Please contact us to discuss.
How do we book?
Use the enquiry link on this page or contact us directly to discuss your requirements. We will then propose a training plan and pricing.
Can I get a certificate in this?
No, these courses are not certified.
