At Marine Action we specialize in delivering RYA powerboat training courses for all levels - from beginners to experienced operators looking to refine their skills.
Our RYA certified training is designed to build confidence and competence on the water, whether you're looking to explore coastal waters or pursue commercial endorsements. We pride ourselves on delivering real world capability rather than just box ticking for a certificate. As much as possible we will tailor a training to your needs.
We also offer non-RYA training in high stakes scenarios such as capsize recovery, heavy weather handling and real world emergency response scenarios.
Our instructors bring a unique perspective on teaching power boating. All of our instructors have had many years of doing high pressure activism at sea, and are used to operating in demanding maritime environments. We only work with instructors who have extensive experience beyond that of certificates, and pride ourselves on teaching with rounded real world knowledge.
Our instructors are not only highly skilled on the water, but also deeply committed to creating respectful and inclusive learning environment. With a background in campaigning, they bring a strong awareness to power, privilege and social justice to their teaching. All of our team have undergone training in diversity, equity and inclusion, and are dedicated to making every student feel safe, supported and respected - regardless of background or identity.
