How Practice Days Work
Practice days are open to students who have completed at least RYA Powerboat Level 2 with Marine Action. They are designed to help you keep skills fresh and build confidence without the structure of a formal syllabus.
At the start of the session we'll agree what you want to focus on – anything from close-quarters manoeuvring to man overboard drills or higher-speed handling – and shape the day around those priorities.
Typical Focus Areas
- Close-quarters manoeuvring and marina work
- Coming alongside and leaving pontoons confidently
- Mooring, anchoring and picking up moorings
- High-speed turns and rough-water handling
- Man overboard recovery and emergency drills
- Refining passage plans and pilotage you design yourself

Keep Your Skills Sharp
Book a practice day to turn theory and certificates into relaxed, confident boat handling.
